ECVA is a community of artists, arts supporters, art historians and theologians acting in support of our common life in the Episcopal Church. It encourages local artists and visual arts communities, assists churches in integrating the visual arts into their worship space and liturgy, develops forums to explore the theology of visual art, and creates a heightened awareness of the spiritual role of the visual arts in an individual's life and in the life of the church.

A chance to sell your work at General Convention

We have an exciting opportunity to pass along to artists who can act on it quickly. A nonprofit retailer associated with an Episcopal cathedral will be exhibiting at General Convention this June, and has invited ECVA artists to submit samples of their work for possible sale through the retailer's exhibit space at Convention. Literally thousands of people will browse the exhibit area!

There is a standard commission agreement, and artists who sell through the booth will be responsible for shipping their work both ways. Space is limited, and booth-friendly items (prints, notecards, and other small items) might be of particular interest. However, original fine art is welcome for consideration as well.

Submissions can be made electronically or by mail, but the deadline is quick-turnaround - April 14. (This deadline is for sample images only. Artists who are selected will need to deliver the actual work by May 26.) Please e-mail me at bdodson@ecva.org if you are interested, and I will send you the details and contact information.
